Geelong will host its first officially sanctioned international cricket match as part of a two-game package in Victoria for Australia's Twenty20 series against Sri Lanka this summer.

Cricket Australia has confirmed The MCG will host the opening match of the series on February 17, before Geelong's Simmonds Stadium hosts an international fixture for the first time since World Series Cricket two days later.

The series will finish in Adelaide on February 22, with all matches to be played as double-headers with the Southern Stars and New Zealand.
